Mini Biography: Geri Halliwel was born on 8th June 1972 in London, she began singing and dancing professionally when she replied to Simon Cowell's advert in a newspaper to audition for the 'Spice Girls'. Along with Baby, Posh, Scary and Sporty, Ginger had a string of hits with the group, including 'Wanna be', 'Say You'll be There' and 'Two Become One' before going solo in 1998.
Her first solo album, 'Schizophrenic', was reasonably successful in 1999, but she is much more famous as a tabloid staple: the papers lover her, whether for her lovelife, fluctuating weight or outrageous behaviour.
